We are pleased to announce that we presented a new poster on the Simβ‑AD study at IPAC 2026.
Below is a brief introduction to the article. You can read the full version in the attached document.
The main goal of the Simβ-AD study is to provide a methodology to assess activation of radioactive waste produced by cyclotron facilities, combining
Monte-Carlo codes and active neutron detectors. Experiments are made in different cyclotron facilities to compare activity produced by irradiation of
activation foils and results from four Monte-Carlo codes (FLUKA[1][2] – MCNP6[3] – PHITS[4] – RayXpert®[5]) and off-line activity calculation using
FISPACT-II [6] and a pre-version of RayActive®currently developed by TRAD. A ratio between measurements and calculations in a range of 0.5-1.5 is
expected.
